After speaking with the city arborist, it was clear both trees had … More been in decline for some time and posed a threat to my house. As a result, I sought out multiple quotes. I needed someone who would not just do this multi-day job, but provide care to ensure that the tree and any of its branches didn't damage my roof or my paved tile driveway. Climber Steve was just that person! Steve and his crew do precise cuts in the most strategic way to uphold safety for workers and the surrounding environment/property. Steve's background in climbing and skills with rope help tremendously, as do their equipment. They know precisely where each branch will come down and provide the utmost care as to not damage anything in the process. What I appreciate most about them is how they really think through the process-- dismantling the trees with ropes, pulleys and precision. It is quite the sight to see!
I am also thoroughly impressed with how professional this crew is in terms of communication, willingness to answer questions, overall work ethic, and ability to clean up. We had 2 very large water oak trees within feet of our house that needed removed and we live in a pretty tight residential neighborhood. We have small kids who were very interested in the equipment; the guys were very personable and let the kids "help" clean up. They pile the debris and use a 3rd party to clean up the limbs and debris, within 3 hours of the job being completed that company was here to remove the debris. It's as if they had never been here.

They worked with such speed while also being safe. They were also SO CAREFUL to not harm ANY of the saplings or trees I was trying to save. They had to maneuver their machinery in numerous tight places and finagle pile after pile of debris to be out of both their way and mine. Here comes Climber Steve's Tree Care to the rescue! The team arrived as expected and boy did this crew work hard in clearing the way. They cleaned as they went along and though there was a large pile of debris left in the road at the end of the day, they made sure to safely place cones to make sure it was seen, and all was removed the very next day. There was a bit of a miscommunication about all the work that was supposed to be done that day, however Steve himself came back to do what was missed and made it all right. I got his voicemail stating I could complete a quote questionnaire on line so I hung up but … More before I could even pull the website up, Steve returned my call to see what he could do for me. Later that evening, I met Steve and knew this was the team I wanted to handle the work that I needed done. I had a large Laurel Oak growing horizontally and hanging over my power and cable lines, and I had a Live Oak behind two outbuildings and near a neighbor's fence that needed some heavy trimming too. Everything was coordinated with GRU to disconnect my power/cable lines and then reconnected again after the tree was down. They left the yard the same as it was before the work was done which is amazing given the amount of debris to be handled. They chipped most of the limbs on site and will leave a great mulch pile for you if you desire, or they can haul it away. I chose to keep mine since I could use some on my property and wanted to offer free mulch to my neighbors as well. Neighbors were also impressed with the work done. One neighbor asked for a quote for work to be done at his house before Steve even left my property for the day. Steve has John from Mad Beavers Stump Grinding handle any stumps that you have on your property and I highly recommend him as well since he goes above and beyond and does a fantastic job and adds great value for the money. Steve has put together a great team with all of the necessary equipment to handle any need that you may have. It was a fantastic experience to watch them operate and I would not hesitate to call them back again to do any future tree trimming or removal needs. -

Steven has pursued climbing of all sorts for over 15 years, starting with rock climbing from a young age. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout, Steven has always been interested in knots, rigging, and craftsmanship. Steven has a B.S. in environmental science from the University of Florida, and has a strong interest in the environment and ecology. During college, Steven was instrumental in creating a network of bicycle powered composting centers. This passion for sustainability and recycling has continued into his methods at Climber Steve’s Tree Care.
